Craggy Gardens

The Craggy Gardens trail opens up at the time to an exceptional view at both the first Summit as well as the 10 minute ascending hike to the overlook.

There are 3 ideal locations on this 30 minute moderate hike to document various views and dynamics with your loved ones.

There are restrooms at the trailhead.

1-2 Hour Experience

Great for high visibility days.

Wind conditions are closely monitored during the Fall. (Potential for rescheduling or switching locations based on weather.)

Best times to book : March – October

Linville Gorge | Hawksbill Mountain

Linville is just simply put EPIC. It is an amazing hike and one of the BEST views and experiences in North Carolina.

The galleries and time here are unforgettable.

2-3 Hour Experience

Great for high to moderate visibility days.

Wind conditions are closely monitored during the Fall. (Potential for rescheduling or switching locations based on weather as Thunderstorms produce severe and frequent lighting and dense fog.)

Best times to book : March – October.

You can achieve the moderately hard summit in about 60 minutes.

This is doable with all ages. Littles are great in carry on backpacks made for hiking with children. I do have one to supply, as well.

***Children that respect direction and understand heights | forest rules a must.

Black Balsam Knob

Balsam Knob is one of my favorite locations! It garners so much variety and wide open areas with gorgeous textures each season.

2 – 3 Hour Experience

Great for high to moderate visibility days.

(I rarely need to switch dates for this location.)

Best times to book : March – October.

You can achieve the full summit in about 45 minutes if you are looking to document multiple views during our time together.

15 minutes into this hike you are experiencing exceptional views, as well. ( The shorter distance offers up a wondering experience for individuals who are not desiring such a long hike and/or expecting mothers.)

Max Patch

Max Patch has 360 degree views with tons of wide open space as well. Another epic and stunning option! You can achieve so much variety during your time here, as well. Lots of wildflower and tall grasses the majority of the year.

2 – 4 Hour Experience + Drive Time

Great for high to moderate visibility days.

(I rarely need to switch dates for this location.)

Best times to book : March – October.

You can achieve the full summit in about 30 minutes via a gravel road. You can also take a beautiful scenic trail for a 60 minute moderate hike to the summit.

Bearwallow

Bearwallow is a fav for my family and many to relax for a picnic and see panoramic views of Southern Asheville. This location has a wide open landscape with some Rocky texture and live cattle that graze in the evening. It is a short and sweet experience with a 5 minute private drive up to the summit. (This is great for families who do not desire a hike experience. Also great for expecting mothers.)

There is a steep switch back hike available as well if you are seeking an adventure to the top.

Best times to book : Year Round is great here!

Private and convenient drive to the Summit included in the total investment.

Lake Lure | Chimney Rock

Breathtaking! During high visibility days you will have the gorgeous Lake Lure view in your backdrop from Chimney Rock mountain, as well.

This location can be either “short and sweet” with little to know hiking or extended as we ascend further up past Chimney Rock overlook onto Exclamation Point and Skyline Trails. This will give you even more elevated views and a glimpse of the Waterfall from the famous Last of the Mohicans scene.

Quick drive up to the parking lot from the entrance of Chimney Rock State Park located in the downtown village.

From the parking lot it is a 2 minute elevator ride to the overlook. If planning to extend your experience with an ascending hike, you can plan for a lot of stairs and an additional hour of hiking there and back.

1-3 Hour Experience

*** There is a Riverside Boulder experience that can be added to this time as well.

Jump Off Rock

This is a short, sweet and convenient experience!

Beautiful overlook vantages and large boulders to nestle on to experience the views and each other.

30 – 45 minute Experience

Great for high to moderate visibility days. Dense fog days are still a beautiful portrait experience with the boulders.

(I rarely need to switch dates for this location.)

Best times to book : Anytime

Great for any dynamic– especially for families with toddlers, expecting mothers, extended family and newborns!

The Newborn Experience

These sessions remain nostalgic for families and myself.

It is a very calm and emotional time. It also is a time of ambiguity.

I have over 6 years of experience as a Newborn Photographer using easy and safe ways to hold and nurture baby telling a genuine story. With ease I walk any new parent through soothing techniques to support a beautiful experience for everyone. We go with the flow and enjoy the moments of nurture in all the forms, changing, feeding, snuggling and listening to all the grunts and belly breathes.

This is about you too! To glamorize these moments is so essential for being seen in Motherhood. To have a mirror on these moments is invaluable as the days flow into months so quickly!

2-3 Hour Experience + Drive Time

I have all the things “baby” and to reiterate all Mama wardrobe and additional Toddler wardrobe provided.

This experience can take place in privacy “in home” or on my mountain property (porch swing or back porch elevation views) or a beautiful Victorian Air B&B located in Downtwon Hendersonville. All locations mentioned are included in investment. Additionally, my favorite place is the outdoors – all drive up locations are considered – Jump off Rock is a favorite for this experience.

All outdoor locations considers a minimum of 50 degrees
